Ozone is the high-energy form of oxygen (O2) and consists of three oxygen atoms (O3). In nature, ozone has an ecological protection function in the Earth’s atmosphere (ozone layer). Its germ-killing and disinfecting effect is scientifically proven. A short-term increase of the blood circulation has also been proved.
The ozone treatment in Biological cancer therapy uses the acute oxygen problem of cancer cells. In a form of own blood therapy blood is taken from the patients vein, about 60 to 200 ml, treated with an ozone-oxygen mixture and made incoagulate (unclottable). Then the mixture is injected intravenously (into the patients vein) again.
This procedure uses sterile disposable material, so that contamination by pathogenic bacteria is prevented where ever possible. This treatment lasts usually about 20 minutes, depending on the amount of blood and puncturing ability of the veins of the person or a possible accompanying medication can take it up to 90 minutes. ACE inhibitors require a slower re-infusion because of a possible drop in blood pressure.
Medical ozone from pure medical oxygen is generated out of silent electrical discharge and used as ozone-oxygen mixture in exact concentration and dosage for the therapy. The concentration range from 1 to 100 µg/ml covers a mixture of ozone and oxygen by 0.05 percent ozone and 99,95 % oxygen and 5% ozone with 95% oxygen. Since the ozone molecule is not stable, medical ozone is each time freshly prepared and administered. After about an hour, only half of the original quantity exists.
Medical ozone has a strong antibacterial, fungicidal and virus-inactivating effect and has therefore a wide range of applications for the disinfection of infected wounds, as well as bacterial and virus-related diseases. The circulation property is used not only in cancer therapy, but also for treating circulatory disorders and to revitalize.
In the low-dose range, the body’s defensive reaction are activated and the immune system also will be mobilized. As an answer to their activation by medical ozone, immune cells produce specific neurotransmitters, cytokines (such as interferons and Interleukins), to inform the other immune cells so the whole cascade of immune response is set in motion.
